まずは「ミルテンブルグ」へ。木組みの建物が並ぶ美しい町です。

 マルクト広場から小径を上ると「ミンテンブルグ城」に到着。城は1200年頃建てられ、1237年に初めて文献に現れます。1979年に市の所有となり2010から11年にかけて修復されました。今はユニークなイコンと現代美術博物館となっています。
When we climed the alley from Market square, we arrived at "the castle Mildenburg". It was built about 1200 and had its first documentary mention in 1237. The castle has been under the town’s ownership since 1979. In 2010/2011, the castle was renovated. It now houses a unique museum of icons and contemporary art. |

 「ハウプト通り」にある「Gasthaus zum Riesen」。ここは12世紀に営業を始めたドイツ最古のホテルだそうです。現在の建物は1590年に建てられ、今はビアレストランとして営業しています。建物は何度も改修されています。ここでランチをとることにしました。
Zum Riesen (English: The Giant) on Haupt street. It is one of the oldest hotels in the country which began business in the 12th century. The current building was built in 1590 and it is open as a beer restaurant. The building has been renovated a number of times. We decided to have alunch here. |

 「市庁舎」（右）と「聖セバルドゥス教会」（左）。教会建設は1225年に始まり、1273から75年までに完成しました。2つの塔は15世紀に追加されました。教会は第2次大戦で大きな損害を受け、その後修復されました。人が多すぎて歩くのがやっと。

まずはクリスマスマーケットの定番、ホットワイン。ドイツでは「グリューワイン」と呼ばれています。マグは持ち帰れます。
We had a dinner while we were walking here. Firstly we had a mulled wine and it is a standard item of Christmas market. It's called "gluhwein" in German. We can take a mug home. |

 コンビニにある「肉まん」とそっくり。美味しそうに見えたので買ってみたら…甘いカスタードソースをかけられました。ちょっと失敗。
It's just like a manju with meat fillimng sold in a convenience store in Japan. We bought it because it looked nice. However it served with sweet custard source. It was failure. |

 これはおいしくておかわりしたよ。ニュルンベルク・ロストブラートヴルストを挟んだ「Drei im Weckla」。ニュルンベルグのソーセージはドイツでもっとも有名で、長さは小さくて７〜９センチほど。それを直火で焼いてザワークラウトと一緒に3本ほどをパンで挟んで食べます。本当に美味しいよ。
We had another one because it was very nice. It was called "Drei im Weckla" and sandwiched the Nuremberg rostbratwurst with bread. Sousages in Nuremberg are the most popular in Germany and its length is about 7-9cm. People grill it over an open fire and eat by putting about three sausages on the bread with sauerkraut. It was very nice truely. |

 日本ではりんご飴。こちらでは洋なしをチョコでコーティング。これもとても美味しかったです。
In Japan, apple is covered with chocolate, though pear is covered with it here. It was very nice as well. |

We ariived at "Konigstor". The outside of the gate is the new town. It was built in 1388 during the last extension of the city wall and was the entrance gate of the trade route from Regensburg. Like many other towers, this one was originally square, but was rebuilt as a round tower after the margrave war of 1556 in order to give it better protection against artillery fire. |

 「ニュルンベルグ中央駅」。
ホテルのとなり。明日はローテンブルグに移動です。駅は1844年から1847年に現在の場所に建てられました。第2次大戦末期の連合軍の爆撃で駅は大きな損害を受け、1945年3月16日には9日間の閉鎖を余儀なくされました。再建は1945年から1956年にかけて行われました。

Next to the hotel. We will move to Rothenburg tomorrow. Between 1844 and 1847 the station appeared in its present location. As a result of allied bombing at the end of the Second World War the station building suffered heavily and on 16 March 1945 had to be closed for nine days. Its reconstruction took place between 1945 and 1956. |

The doors of the clock open every hour on the hour between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. At the behest of Count Tilly, Mayor Nusch drank 3 1/4 liters of Franconian wine in a single gulp, thus saving Rothenburg from destruction. |

西側ギャラリーにはリーメンシュナイダーが1500年から1505年にかけて彫った傑作「聖血の祭壇」があり、1270年頃の水晶の整骨箱を伴った十字架が含まれます。祭壇は右側にエルサレム入場、中央にユダを中心に置いた最後の晩餐、左側にオリーブ山の場面が描かれています。
