今日は夏の2ヶ月間ほど公開されるバッキンガム宮殿の見学です。見学期間最終の週末、予約をして出かけました。今回のチケットはクィーンズ・ギャラリー、ロイヤル・ミューズ・そしてバッキンガム宮殿の3カ所にへ入れるチケットを購入しています。まずは「クィーンズ・ギャラリー」。

ロイヤル・ミューズには、戴冠式や公式訪問、ロイヤル・ウェディング、議会開会式、公式行事などの際に使われる公用車（馬車および自動車）が保管されています。これは在位60周年公式馬車です。エリザベス2世女王の80歳の誕生日を記念して製作されましたが完成が8年近く遅れ、結局は女王在位60周年を記念するものになりました。

Royal Mews keeps the state coaches, other carriages and the state motor cars which are used for the coronation, state visit, wedding ceremony, assembly opening ceremony and other official events. It's Diamond Jubilee State Coach. It was made to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II's 80th birthday but completion was delayed for nearly 8 years. Eventually, it became a commemoration for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. |

 お夕飯はミシュラン一つ星。ソーホーにある中華レストラン「唐茶苑 YAUACHA」へ。
鹿肉まんも見た目からしてちがうね。奥に見える棒々鶏もとーってもおいしかった。
We hada a dinner at Chinese restaurant with Michelin one star, "Yauacha" in Soho.
Even a steamed venison bun looked different from other restaurants. Bangbang chicken which was shown in the depth was also very nice. |

What a boot ! The train we booked was cancelled suprisingly. Actually the timetable was disrupted all day after that. After all we left here by another not direct train. |

We arrived only about 30 minutes later than our plan because we could change trains very well. These are buildings along the street which leads to the old town from the station. Wonderful. |

「礼拝堂」
巡礼者たちが最後に礼拝する神聖な場所です。礼拝堂の床の中央にある1本のロウソクは地下墓室にあった聖トーマス・ベケットのオリジナルの墓のちょうど真上にあたります。聖トーマスの墓は「彼は王とその名誉への反逆者である」との理由で1538年にヘンリー8世の命令で破壊されました。彼の墓の黄金と宝石は取り去られ、骨は焼かれました。

We gave priority to a visit becausue the time for the return train was uncertain. Therefore we were going to have a late lunch. It's the restaurant using an old house which was built in the 15th century, "The Old Weavers Restaurant". |

セント・パンクラスの駅ナカ。フォートナム＆メイソンでアフタヌーンティ。日本でもよく食べていたフォートナム＆メイソンのスコーン。クロテッドクリームとジャムをたっぷりのっけて食べるのが幸せです。クロテッドクリームは一日煮詰めた牛乳の表面に浮いた脂肪分を集めたイギリスの乳製品です。

We enjoyed an afternoon tea at Fortnum & Mason in St. Pancras station. I often eat a scone of Fortnum & Mason. I'm happy when I eat it with full of clotted cream and jam. The clotted cream is the British dairy products collected the fat content which floated on the surface of the milk which was boiled down all day long. |
