 ベルギー滞在中何度も通ったデュッセルドルフ。今回はお友だちに会いに行ってきました。いつもは車でしたが、今日は一人なのでタリスで。
1891年10月1日にオープンした中央駅に到着。お友だちが迎えに来てくれました。
We came to Dusseldorf many times during my stay in Belgium. We came here to see a friend this time. I ususally come here by car, but this time by Thalys because I am alone.
I arrived at Dusseldorf Hauptbahnhof opened on 1 October 1891. A friend came to pick me up. |

 ローテンブルグにあるクリスマスグッズ専門店。クリスマスマーケットにも出店するんだねー。後ろにあるのは10月にオープンしたばかりのユニクロ。
日本人街があるのにやっとなんだねー。
A Christmas goods speciality shop which is located in Rothenburg. I have known it opens a store even at the Christmas market. The store behind the cabin is Uni-Qlo which just opened on October. Though there is a Japanese town, at last it opened. |

 老舗のビール屋さん。醸造所が経営する街の人気店。
ここでランチです。（ビール飲めないけど）
A long established brewery. Popular restaurant managed by the brewery. We had a lunch here. (I don't drink beer.) |

ドイツで人気の豚の生挽肉です。日本人には考えられないお料理ですが、とてもおいしー。

It is a preparation of minced raw pork that is popular in Germany. Japanse can't imagine it, but it is very tasty. |

ボリューム満点。おいしいし、やっすーい！！
We had a frankfurter with curry sauce in fashion recently.
Very big. Tasty and inexpensive. |

 ライン川沿いの遊歩道を歩いて「ラインタワー」へ行きます。教会の横を抜けるとライン川です。これは1206年に建てられ、1288年から1394年にかけて拡大されたSt. Lambertus教会です。1815年の落雷の後に再建されています。
We walked on the walk way along the Rhine and headed for "Rhine Tower". When we passed the side of the church, we reached the Rhine. It's St. Lambertus Church built in 1206 and enlarged 1288-1394. It was rebuilt after a lighting strike in 1815. |

 「Maritime Museum」
5層建ての円柱形の建物は博物館です。ライン川の生態学、造船の歴史、川の貿易や旅行その他を展示しています。1551年に建てられた城の一部です。1750年に再建され、1984年に博物館としてオープンしました。
"Schifffahrtsmuseum"
5-storied cylindrical building is a museum. There are exhibits on the ecology of the Rhine, shipbuilding history, trade and travel on the river as well as other aspects. It is the part of the castle built in 1551. It wa srebuilt in 1750 and opened as the museum in 1984. |

 カフェでケーキを食べました。
ドイツではフォークをケーキの横に刺した状態でサーブされます。
ほとんどお客様がいなくて窓際のソファー席を占領しておしゃべり。
ここは穴場だねぇ。
We had a cake at the cafe.
A cake is served with the state that a fork stuck in aside.
We occupied a sofe by the window and had a chat because there were few visitors. It's a little-known good place, isn't it ? |

 大根サラダ。珍しく日本人しかいないお店。働いている人もお客様も日本人のみ。なんちゃって日本食店が増えたので日本人はこう言うところに逃げ込んでいるのねー
Radish salad. Rarely there are only Japanese staffs and visitors in the retausrant. Japanese take refuge in such a restaurant because fake Japanese restaurants are increasing. |

 欧州ではなかなか食べられない「鰹のたたき」。ここにはありましたー。
It is very difficult to find "Lightly roasted bonito" in Europe. I was able to eat it here. |

午前中美容室に行って午後はお友だちと一緒に、郊外にある「ベンラート城」へ出かけました。
The weather has become fine.

 ピンクのかわいいお城。
このバロック様式の城は選帝侯カール・テオドールのためにフランス人建築家・庭師のニコラス・デ・ピカージュによって建てられました。建設は1755年に始まり1770年に完成しました。
It is a lovely pink castle.
This Baroque-style was erected for the Elector Palatine Charles Theodor by his garden and building French director Nicolas de Pigage. Construction began in 1755 and was completed in 1770. |

 お城に併設の博物館へ。
二つの翼は2002年以降、博物館となっており東側はヨーロッパ庭園芸術博物館、西側は自然史博物館となっています。小さい博物館で、いろんな物が展示されていました。
We visited the museum disposed on the castle.
The two wings house two museums since 2002: the Museum for European Garden Art in the east wing and the Museum of Natural History in the west wing. They are small museums and various items are displayed. |

It's the biggest Buddhist temple in Europe, built in 1988, with the area of approximately 9,600 square meters. Today 2 Buddhist priests are nrolled in the temple. |

 お寺の見学を終えてデュッセルドルフからブリュッセルへ。帰りはタリスが高かったのでケルンからICEで帰ります。デュッセルドルフからケルンまでは30分ほどなのに列車は1時間遅れ。お友だちのアドバイスにしたがって早めに駅に行って良かったー。ケルンに着いたときはICE発車の3分前でした。
I returned to Brussels from Dusseldorf after the visit of the temple. I went home from Cologne by ICE because the cost of Thalys was expensive. Usually it takes 30 minutes from Dusseldorf to cologne, but the train was 1 hour late. It was good to go to the station early following my friend's advice. When I arrived at Cologne, it was 3 minutes before the departure of ICE. |

 ケルンからブリュッセルまでは指定を取りました。この列車に自由席車両はなく、「○○駅から××駅までは予約されています」というサインが出ます。サインが出ていない席が自由席になるというシステムです。私のとなりは自由席のようです。
I booked a reserved seat from Cologne to Brussels. There was no railway car only unreserved seat in this train and the notice of "reserved seat from AA station to BB station" appeared above the seat. The seat without the notice is an unreserved one. It seemd that the seat next to me was an unreserved one. |
