Here it is. The buiding dates from 1870. It was sold to the Salvation Army in 1934. It opened as a children's home on 7 July 1936. Lennon would often scale the walls of Strawberry Field to play with the children in the Salvation Army home. |

 ビートルズの歌の題材のひとつとなった「エレナ−・リグビー」のお墓。えー、ここから探すのーって思ったらちゃんと観光客がいてそのガイドさんが教えてくれました。白っぽいお墓がそれ。エリナー・リグビーの墓は1980年代にセント・ピーター教会の墓地で「発見」されています。実際のエリナー・リグビーは1895年8月25日に生まれ、リバプールに住み1930年のボクシング・デイにトーマス・ウッドという人と結婚しています。彼女は1939年10月10日に脳内出血により44歳で亡くなり、3日後にここに埋葬されました。このエリナーが歌にインスピレーションを与えたかどうかに関係なく、彼女の墓はリバプールを訪れるビーチルズファンの観光地となっています。
The grave of "Eleanor Rigby", who became the subject for one of The Beatles' songs. I thought oh, no, I can't find it from many graves, but a guide for tourists was there and told us where it was. A whitish one is her grave. In the 1980s, a grave of an Eleanor Rigby was "discovered" in the graveyard of St Peter's Church. Actual Eleanor Rigby was born on 29 August 1895 and lived in Liverpool where she married a man named Thomas Woods on Boxing Day 1930. She died on 10 October 1939 of a brain haemorrhage at the age of 44 and was buried three days later. Regardless of whether this Eleanor was the inspiration for the song or not, her tombstone has become a landmark to Beatles fans visiting Liverpool. |

 「ビートルズ」像の横にある1916年に設立されたエドワード7世の騎馬像。だれからも注目されていませんでした。背景には1911年に建てられたローヤル・リバー・ビルの優雅な2つの時計塔が見えます。素晴らしい銅製のリバー・バードがその頂上に垣間見えます。
An equestrian statue of Edward VII, erected in 1916, at the side of "Beatles Statues". No one focused it. In the background can be seen two elegant clock-towers of Royal Liver Building, opened in 1911. Its great copper Liver bird can just be glimpsed at the top. |

 見つけたのがこのホテル。世界で唯一のビートルズをテーマにしたホテルで、彼らの映画、アルバム、歌であるハード・デイズ・ナイトにちなんで名づけられています。ホテルは2008年2月にオープンしました。ホテルは1884年に完成し、再開発された中央ビルに中にあります。
We found this hotel. The only Beatles themed hotel in the world, it is named after their film, album and song A Hard Day's Night. The hotel opened in February 2008. The hotel is situated within the redeveloped Central Buildings, which completed in 1884. |

キャバーン・クラブのオープン40周年を記念して1997年1月16日に公開されました。壁には1957年から1973年にかけてクラブに出演した全てのバンド名が刻まれています。昼間の「マシュー・ストリート」。

ペルー料理のレストランへ。予約時点ではミシュラン一つ星だったお店。残念ながら食べに行ったときには陥落していました。
エビのコロッケ。
When we booked this restaurant, it has Michelin 1-star. Unfortunately it lost a star when we visited here (in the year 2019 version). It's a Peruvian cuisine restaurant.
