We came to "Mechelen" from the hotel by bus.
We walked to Market square from the station on foot. It's "Church of Our Lady". |

レース屋さんや糸屋さんさんも。
ここでもレース用の糸を買いました。
The square is lined with stores of lovely buildings.
Lace shops and thread shops.
I bought thread for lace also here. |

 広場にあるかわいい建物。
16世紀にネーデルランドの首都として栄えただけあって素敵な建物がいっぱいの街です。
Lovely building, built in the 13th century, in the square.
There are many wonderful buildings because the town prospered as the capitol of the Netherlands in the 16th century. |

 アジアな味が食べたくて中華料理屋さんをさがしました。大晦日でも開いていて助かりました。窓の外にはメッヘレンの「市庁舎」が見えています。
We looked for a Chinese restaurant because we wanted to eat Asian taste. It was good that the restaurant opened even the new year's eve. "The town hall " of Mechelen was seen at the outside of the windows. |

 怪しい感じの内装。店の中に池があって池を渡る橋もあるんだよ。

 ルーベンスの絵がある教会です。「聖ロンバウツ大聖堂」の存在感におされていますが、ルーベンスが自信の最高傑作と呼んだ「東方三博士の礼拝」があります。その写真は2018年10月25日のブログで。
It has a Rubens' painting. Though the church hides behind St. Rumbold's Cathedral's presence, it exhibits "The Adoration of the Magi", which Rubens oneself recognized as the best masterpiece. You can watch its photo on the blog at October 25, 2018. |

 旅行から帰ってきてずっとシェラトンに暮していました。
大晦日は行きたいレストランはお休みなので、ホテルのレストランへ。
We were living at the Sheraton hotel after we returned from the trip. We had a dinner at the restaurant of the hotel because almost restaurants were closed on the new year's eve.
