 今日はトビリシのウォーキングツアー。
まずはここを目指します。「メテヒ教会」と「ワフタング・ゴルガサリ（およそ439年もしくは443年生-502年もしくは522年没」）の騎馬像。彼はジョージア正教の再編者でありトビリシの創設者でした。
Today we joined a walking tour of Tbilisi.
Firstly we headed for "The Metekhi church" and the equestrian statue of "King Vakhtang Gorgasali (c. 439 or 443 - 502 or 522)". He was a reorganization of the Georgian Orthodox Church and foundation of Tbilisi. |

 教会からは「ナリカラ砦」がよく見えます。教会はレンガと裁断加工石材で出来ています。修復は主に再使用されたレンガを用いて17,18,そして19世紀に行われました。

 「ワフタング・ゴルガサリ」さんは街を見下ろしているんだねー。像は1967年に造られました。伝説によればワフタング王が砦に居た時、彼の鷹が雉を追いかけました。雉は温泉の泉に落ち、王と従者は蒸気が吹き出るのを見ました。ワフタングはその場所に都市を建てるよう命令し、「温泉の場所」を意味する「トビリシ」と名付けました。
Mr. "Vakhtang Gorgasali" looks down at the town. This monument was created in 1967. A legend has it that when King Vakhtang was in the forest, his falcon chased a pheasant. The bird fell into a hot water spring and the king and his servants saw the steam come out of the water. Surprised by the abundance of hot water, Vakhtang gave orders to build a city on this site and named it "Tbilisi", that is, "the site of warm springs". |

 「タマダ・トーストマスター」(右）
ジョージアで出土した紀元前７世紀の「ワインを飲む人」のレプリカ。一般的にタマダはジョージアでの宴会や結婚式における司会進行役のことをいいます。さすがワイン発祥の地。

 「シナゴーグ」
建物は1895年から1903年にかけて建てられました。中に入れるようにガイドの「オニセさん」が交渉してくれています。今回はこのガイドさんとドライバーの「ニコさん」の4人旅。入り口には「メズーザー」が。

 「トビリシ歴史博物館」
1910年に設立されました。1984年から博物館はシルクロードの貿易拠点としての街の歴史上の役割を示す修復されたキャラバンサライ（隊商宿）の中にあります。古い作品と共に博物館は現代芸術も展示しています。

最初の教会は6-7世紀に建てられました。それから外国からの侵略によって破壊され、数回修復されています。現在の教会は13世紀のものが基礎となっており17世紀から19世紀にかけて変化が加えられました。鐘楼は1812年に完成しました。

 「平和橋」
ムトゥクヴァリ川にかかる大量のLEDで装飾され鉄とガラスで作られた弓形の歩行者用の橋です。2010年5月6日に公式に開設されました。

トビリシ創建1500周年を記念してSololakiの丘の上1958年に建てられたメタリックな像です。これは友としてきたものに対する挨拶として左手にはワインの杯を持ち、敵としてきたもののために右手に剣を持つというジョージアの国民的精神を表しています。

砦は4世紀ごろ創設されました。7世紀と12世紀に大きく拡大されています。現存するほとんどの砦は16から17世紀のものです。1827年に地震とそれに伴う火薬庫の爆発で多くの建物を失いました。

 街のそこここで見かけるこれ。
何かなーと思ったらここで「支払い」はなんでもできるらしい。ローンの返済、メトロのカードのチャージ、税金、水道電気ガスの支払い…ちょっと歩くとすぐに見つけられます。とても便利にできているなーと思います。ガイドさんは先進国の日本にはもっとすごいのがあるはずだ！と言っていましたが…
We saw this machine everywhere in the town.
I thought what it was and a guide told us that "all payment" such as return of the loan, charge to a metro card, tax, water bill, gas charge, electricity bill and so on could be done by it. When we walk alittle, we can find it. I think it's very convenient. A guide mentioned there should be a greater machine in Japan of the advanced nation, but.... |
