 今日はアウトレットでお買い物。
2001年からルールモントには欧州で最大で最も成功したアウトレットになったマッカッサーグレン・デザイナー・アウトレットがあります。年間約600万人が訪れ、オランダにおける最大の観光地のひとつとなっています。2017年には200店舗にまで拡大されています。
We were doing our shopping at an outlet mall today.
Since 2001 Roermond is home to a McArthurGlen Designer Outlet, which has become one of the largest and most successful designer outlets in Europe with an average of almost six million customers per year, making it one of the biggest tourist attractions in the Netherlands. In 2017 it reached 200 shops following its latest expansion. |

 アウトレットから徒歩5分で「ルールモント」の中心地へ行けると聞いてお買い物前、散策に出かけました。
展示会が開かれていた14世紀の見張塔の横を通ってマルクト広場へ。
We heard it took 5 minutes on foot from the outlet mall to the center of the town and we were going out for walk.
We passed at the side of the defence tower of the 14th century, where an exhibition was held and went to the market place. |

建設は1410年に始まりました。15世紀後半に修復が行われています。

 「聖クリストファー大聖堂」
大聖堂は第2次大戦で大きな被害を受けました。解放の1日前にドイツ軍が塔を爆破し、戦争後に変更した形で再建されました。

The church suffered heavily from war damage during the Second World War. The tower was blown up by the Germans one day before the liberation and rebuilt in modified form after the war. |

 「聖クリストファー大聖堂」
1992年4月13日のルールモント地震でかなりの損害を受けました。大聖堂の修復・改装は2001年に始まり、事実上2016年に完成しました。

 「マリアテレジア橋」
ルール川にかかるこの橋は1771年に造られ、戦争による大損害から修復されています。マリア・テレジアが街にこの橋を寄付しています。

The bridge over the Ruhr was built in 1771 and was restored after serious war damage. Maria Theresia donated the bridge to the city. |

 「ミュンスター広場」に到着。
生演奏を聴きながら広場でのんびり。
We arrived at "Munsterplein".
We were able to relax at the square while listening to live performance. |

 広場には「ミュンスター教会」。
教会は1924年に他の部分が取り壊された修道院の一部として1218年に建てられました。ナーヴはおそらく1220年から44年にかけて、また西側の建物は1244年から60年にかけて建てられました。

The church was built as part of the abbey, the rest of which was demolished in 1924, in 1218. The nave was probably built between 1220 and 1244 and the western building was built between 1244 and 1260. |

 「ミュンスター教会」
教会は1863年から90年にかけて修復されました。その修復の際、ナーヴの上にあったもっと小さなバロック式の鐘楼は取り壊され、2つの正面の塔が加えられました。また元々の8角形の東側の塔は四角形の塔に置き換えられました。

The church was renovated between 1863 and 1890; during this renovation the two front towers were added while after a smaller baroque bell tower on the nave was removed, and the originally octagonal eastern towers were replaced by square ones. |

ゲルハルト3世と彼の妻、マルグリットのお墓。ゲルハルト3世（1185年生-1229年10月22日没）は1207年から亡くなる1229年までゲルデルン・ズトフェン伯でした。彼はブラバント公アンリ1世の娘であるマルグリッドと1206年に結婚しました。

The tomb of Gerard III and his wife Margaretha. Gerard III of Guelders (1185 - 22 October 1229) was the Count of Guelders and Zutphen from 1207 until his death in 1229. He married Margaretha of Brabant, the daughter of Duke Hendrik I of Brabant, in 1206. |

フレスコ画が残っていました。1992年に教会は地震で2つの東側の塔が破壊されるという損害を受けましたが、それらはこの壊滅的な地震の直後に再建されました。

 アウトレットで買い物を終えて今夜はこのシャトーホテルで一泊します。元々の建物（聖ローレンス礼拝堂とアーチ型の蔵の上の2階建ての家）は1640年に建てられました。これは現在の城の中核となっています。
We were going to stay overnight at this chatesu hotel tonight after a shopping at the outlet mall. The original building, the St. Lawrence Chapel and built a two-storey house on top of a vaulted cellar. was built in 1640. This became the core of the current castle. |

 テラスで一杯いただいて早速お夕飯。1840年に城は個人に売却され1900年に拡張されました。1913年と38年にも拡張は行われました。今日、城はホテルとして使われています。
We were going for a dinner immediately after we had a drink at the terrace. In 1840, the castle was sold to a private individual, and in 1900 it was extended. In 1913 and 1938 expansions was carried out. Nowadays the castle is used as a hotel. |
