 ベルギーの美しい村をめぐるシリーズ。今回は泊まりがけで出かけました。まず、一つ目は「トン・サムソン」。小高い丘の上にある村です。
It's the series to make a tour of Belgian beautiful villages. We went on a vist this time. Firstly we visited "Thon-Samson". It is located on a small hill. |

 村のお城に到着してモゼの散策は終了です。モゼ城は11世紀に遡る古いお城です。現在では11ヘクタールの面積を有し、会議場や自然の多様性を学ぶための子供の宿泊施設として利用されています。次の村へ向かいます。
When we arrived at "Domaine de Mozet", Mozet visit was over. The Domaine of Mozet is an old castle-farm dating from the 11th century. Now, with its 10 hectares the castle is available for meetings and lodging kids to discover the biodiversity of the Nature. We headed for the next village. |

 3つめの村「クリュペ」に到着。ここに湖に浮かぶ「13世紀のクリュペ城」はあるはずなのですが、水を抜いてお城の修復作業中でした。残念。
We arrived at the third village, "Crupet". Though we expected we could see the "The 13th Century Castle of Crupet" floated on the lake, unfortunately the lake was empty because of the renovation of the castle. |

 「聖マーティン教会」。
教会は12世紀に建てられ、16世紀にゴシック様式で拡大されました。教会横にツーリストインフォがあり、そこで衝撃の事実を知ってしまいました。今まで24の美しい村があると信じていたのに、昨年その数は30に増え、しかもすでに訪問した村がリストから外れているという事実！今回の旅でコンプリートを目指していましたが、無理だと言うことが判明しました…。
"St-Martin church"
The church was built during the 12th century and enlarged in the Gothic style in the 16th century. The tourist information is located at the side of the church and we have know the shocking fact. Until then we believed there were 24 beautiful villages, but the number increased to 30 last year and, in addition, a village we already visited is not on the list now. Though we had aimed to complete all vilages visit during this trip, we knew it was impossible. |

 「聖アントワーヌの洞窟」
聖アントワーヌの洞窟は村の中心にあります。1903年7月12日に公開されました。22体の宗教をテーマとした彫刻が飾られ、その多くはパドヴァのアントワーヌ(1195年生-1231年6月13日没)の生涯の各場面を描いています。彼はポルトガルのカソリック神父、フランチェスコ会の修道士であり、失せ物の聖人でもあります。彼の祝日は6月13日です。
"The Grotto of St Anthony of Padua"
The centre of the village is dominated by the Grotto of St Anthony of Padua. The grotto was inaugurated on 12 July 1903. It features 22 religious-themed statues. Many of them depict scenes from the life of St Anthony of Padua(1195-13 June 1231). He was a Portuguese Catholic priest and friar of the Franciscan Order and is also the patron saint of lost things. His feast day is 13 June. |

It's the southernmost village of Belgium. The district has a mild climate and produces wine (white mainly), although it's unusual in Belgium. |

 さらに丘を上ると「エルミタージュ」と呼ばれるチャペルと庵があり、今も一人の修道女が暮らしています。
When we climed up the hill further, we could see a small house and a chapel called "Hermitage". Even now a nun lives on self-sufficiency here. |

 「フェルメ・ローズ（ピンクの農家）」
ピンクの農家の名前はその正面の壁から付けられています。この色合いは壁に塗った石器乳に加えられた牛の血によって作られていました。

The pink farm owes its name to the color of its facade. This tint was formerly obtained by the addition of beef blood to the milk of lime which coated the facade wall. |

 コーヒーとプチフール。
ここで4時間。あまりに完成度が高く、おいしいので調べてみたらミシュランの☆を持っていました。知らずにきてこんなにすてきなお料理に出会えてラッキーでした。

4 hours have passed at this point. On examination, we found that the restaurant had one Michelin star because every dishes were very nice and had a high perfection. Though we didn't know it, we were very lucky to visit a wonderful restaurant. |

 小さな村をめぐるとカフェも店もなく、人とも出会いません。いちばん困るのはトイレ。こうしたオーベルジュがあると迷わず入ります。
When we visit a small village, we can't find a cafe, a shop and people usually. The most trouble point is a restroom. Therefore when we find such an auberge, we visit there without hesitating. |

城の最古の部分は11世紀に遡ります。城は何度も戦争や革命で破壊されましたが、その都度再建・改良されました。17世紀から18世紀にかけて城は徐々にその要塞としての役割を失っていきました。19世紀の初めには美しい田舎の住居に改造されました
"Mirwart Castle"
The oldest parts of the castle date back to the 11th century. The castle has been repeatedly wiped out by wars and revolutions but has always been rebuilt and improved. The castle gradually lost its strongly fortified character in the 17th and 18th centuries. At the beginning of the 19th century, it was turned into a beautiful country residence. |
