 「ブレ・ア・ラ・リエジョワーズ」
リエージュの名物料理。ブラッセルでは肉団子はトマト煮ですが、こちらではフライパンで焼いた後、玉ねぎ、酢、黒砂糖、レーズンが入った甘酸っぱいソースで煮込みます。このソースはラパン・ソース（うさぎソース）という名ですが、うさぎは入っていませんが、このソースを発明したジェラルディン・ラパン（フランス語でうさぎ）の名が残っています。たっぷりのフリッツと一緒にサーブされます。
"Boulets a la liegeoise"
It's a traditional cuisine of Liege. Though meat balls are cooked in tomato in Brussels, they are browned in a frying pan, then cooked over low heat in a special sweet and sour sauce made with onions, vinegar, brown sugar and raisins here. This sauce bears the name of rabbit sauce, which does not contain a rabbit, but would keep its name of Madame Geraldine Lapin who invented the sauce. It's served with a lot of frites. |

 夕方まで街歩き。開いていなかったけどステキなファザードをもつ「聖マリア無原罪懐胎教会」の前を通りました。
We walked around in the town until the evening. Though the church was closed, we went by "Eglise Notre-Dame-de-l'Immaculee-Conception" which has a wonderful facade. |

 途中「リエージュ劇場」に寄りました。オリンピックのロゴマーク問題で一躍日本で有名になりました。
We stopped by "Theatre de Liege" on the way. The theatre became famous for a logo issue of the Olympics in Japan suddenly. |

ここのステンドグラスは1530年に作成されたものでベルギーに現存する最古のものです。

 「聖ポール大聖堂」のあとはカフェで喋ってお別れの時間。今回はドイツ、イタリア、スペインの出張の途中に寄ってくれましたー。一日楽しかったです。お土産、ありがとうございました。また次の出張のときも声かけてねー。
After "St. Paul's Cathedral" visit, we chattered at a cafe and said good bye. This time they stopped by Belgium on the way of the business trip to Germany. Italy and Spain. Thank you for your many souvenirs. Please inform me at the time of next business trip as well. |
