We spent the second summer vacation in Switzerland. It takes about 1 hour from Brusselsa by plane. We walked around the town of Lucerne. It's a public drinking fountain in the town. The bottom is a watering place. |

 1333年建造のヨーロッパ最古の屋根付き木造橋「カペル橋」。近くの聖ペテロ教会から名付けられています。1993年8月18日、不審火で橋はほとんどが焼け、中にあった絵の3分の2が消失しました。

 「カペル橋」から見る町並み。橋の絵は17世紀にこの地方のカソリックの画家によるものでルツェルンの歴史上の出来事が描かれていました。1993年の火事の前には158枚あった絵の内、147枚が残っていました。火事の後、47枚が改修されましたが、完全に修復できたのは30枚だけでした。
The townscape from "Kapellbrucke". The paintings of the bridge, dating back to the 17th century by local Catholic painter, depict events from Lucerne's history.  「ルツェルン駅」
1971年2月5日、1896年に建てられた駅の職員宿舎から出火しました。建物は激しく燃え、1時間以内にキューポラは崩壊し駅正面とコンコースが破壊されました。1991年2月5日に新駅がオープンしました。現在は新駅の正面を背後に旧駅の入口のみが残っています。

On the morning of 5 February 1971 fire broke out in the staff quarters of station, built in 1896. The building burnt fiercely, and within an hour the cupola had collapsed, destroying the station frontage and concourse. A new station was opened on 5 February 1991. Now only the entrance of the old station remains, with the new station frontage behind. |

 こんなところ歩けないー。下が見えてるし。この先は吊り橋。その先に突き出た展望台があるらしい。「まあ、霧も出て景色も見えないだろうから」といいわけをして一方通行の通路をそそくさと戻ってきました。めちゃ怖いよ。
We couldn't walk on such a way because the bottom was seen. There is a suspension bridge ahead and, futhermore, the observation platform, where it stuck out of, over there. We made an excuse sayying we couldn't see any scenery anyway due to the fog and came back through one way corridor to the opposite direction hastily. That was very scary. |

黒いカラマツ材で造られた高床式の穀物倉庫です。。ネズミなどが倉庫に上がれないよう、倉庫の床と小屋を支える柱の間に円盤状の石(ネズミ返し)をはさんだ作りになっています。

 3,842メートルまでロープウエイで楽々です。ロープウェイは1955年にオープンしました。「エギュイーユ・デュ・ミディ」は文字通り訳すと真昼の針です。山はシャモニーの南東に位置しており街の教会の前から見ると正午頃に太陽が頂上を通っていきます。
We climbed to the summit of 3,842m by a cable car easily. It opened in 1955. The name "Aiguille du Midi" translates literally as Needle of the Mid-day. The mountain lies south-east of Chamonix and, when seen from in front of the town's church, the sun passes over its summit around noon. |

 モンブラン、きれいに見えました。ロープウェイの中で日本語が堪能なマダムと一緒になりました。その方は観光案内所にお勤めの「ベルナデット」さんでしたー。いろいろ教えてもらい、午後の観光のアドバイスももらって超ラッキーでした。
We could see Mont Blanc clearly. We got on a cable car with a madamn who spoke Japanese well. She was Ms. Bernadette who worked for the tourist information office. We were very lucky because she gave us various informations and advices about the tourism in the afternoon. |

 景色をみながら休憩しながら上りました。休憩しているときに看板を見てわかりました。かつてはロープウェイの乗り場あたりまで氷河が残っていたんです。それが温暖化のせいなのか、長い階段を使わなければ氷の洞窟まで行けなくなりました。
We sometimes took a rest to see a scenery while we were climbing up the stairs. When we took a rest, we knew, by a signboard, that there had been a glacier near the cable car station. We need to use a very long stair to get the ice cave, probably, due to Global warming. |

 空港出発直前にお友だちから「スイスのマカロン」購入ミッションが！ラウンジを出たところにお店があって買うことができました。老舗「シュプリングリ」の「ルクセンブルグリ」。搭乗時間が迫っていて選んで買うことはできなかったけれど、どれも本当においしかったー。
Just before we lleft the airport, I received the mission to buy Swiss macarons. I found a shop of it near the lounge and could buy it. "Luxemburgerli" of old shop, "Sprungli". Though I didn't have enough time choosing to buy because we were running out of a boarding time, actually every macarons were very nice. |
