 今週末はアヘル修道院へトラピストビールを買いにでかけました。その途中、「トンヘルロ修道院」へ行ってきました。修道院へ向かう並木道。
We went out to Achel abbey to buy trappist beers on this weekend. We stopped at Tongerlo abbey on the way. It was an avenue towards the abbey. |

 ベルギー・ビールのブランドの一つに「トンヘルロ」があります。それはもちろんこの修道院がルーツになっています。聖マリアのために1128年に設立されました。
"Tongerlo" is one of the brand of Belgian beer. Of course it was named by this abbey. It was founded in 1128 in honour of the Blessed Virgin Mary. |

 今はこの修道院ではビールをつくっておらず、大手ビール醸造会社が修道院ビールの名前を復活させました。
This abbey doesn't brew beers and the name of this abbey beer revived from a major brewery. |

 トンヘルロから約1時間、オランダとの国境に近い「アヘル修道院」に到着。
It took one hour from Tongerlo by car. We arrived at Achel abbey near to Dutch border. |

 実はここ、ベルギーとオランダの国境をまたいでたっています。修道院はオランダに、醸造所はベルギーにあるのでビールは「ベルギービール」ということになっています。
The site of this abbey is on the border between Belgium and the Netherland. The abbey stands in the Netherland, however the brewery does in Belgium. Therefore the beer is accepted as Belgian beer. |
