 サンカントネール公園へ。凱旋門があります。サンカントネール公園（フランス語で50周年公園）は巨大な都会の公共公園です（広さ300ha）。元々市郊外の軍隊の演習地の一部でした。1880年の万博の際の中心として開発されました。1880年の元々のパビリオンは主として1904年に凱旋門と両側の大きなホールに置き換えられました。
We went to Cinquantenaire Park. There is a triumphal arch in it. Parc du Cinquantenaire (French for "Park of the Fiftieth Anniversary") is a large public, urban park (30 hectares). Originally this area was part of the military exercise ground outside of the center of the city. For the world exhibition of 1880, the plain was developed as an exhibition center. The original pavilions of the 1880 exhibition were largely replaced with the triumphal arcade in 1904 and the large halls on both sides. |

We climbed on top of the triumphal arch. The Arch was planned for the world exhibition of 1880 and was meant to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the independence of Belgium. In 1880, only the bases of the columns were completed and, during the exhibition, the rest of the arch was constructed from wooden panels. During the following years, the completion of the monument was the topic of a continuous battle between King Leopold II and the Belgian government, which did not want to spend the money required to complete it. At last it was finished in 1905. |

 戦争博物館に行きました。1910年のブリュッセル博覧会の際、軍事歴史のコーナーが公開され大成功を収めました。人気の沸騰により第1次大戦につながる極端に緊張した国際環境の中､当局は軍事博物館を開設しました。博物館は当初カンブル修道院の敷地に建てられ、後に1923年にサンカントネール公園に移されました。
We went to Royal Museum of the Armed Forces and of Military History. At the Brussels exhibition of 1910, a section on military history was presented to the public and met with great success. Given the enthusiasm of the population, the authorities created a military museum within the international context of extreme tension which led to the Great War. The museum was originally installed on the site of the Abbaye de la Cambre and moved to the Cinquantenaire Park in 1923.

トリップアドバイザーの「アントワープの観光名所」堂々の第1位。駅舎がとてもすてきです。こちらはホーム側。出口に向かっての面もすてきです。もちろん外観も！ホームは3階建てになっています。
Antwerp central station. Here is the first place in "Tourist spot of Antwerp" of Tripadvisor. A station building is very nice. This is a platform side. Another side is also nice. Of course the appearance, too. The station is three-story building. |

 「聖パウルス教会」
1571年に完成しました。1968年4月火事で屋根が完全に破壊され、屋根裏や内装が損害を受けました。またバロックの塔は完全に焼け落ち、修道院の3/4は完全に廃墟となりました。修復には長い時間がかかりました。

It was finished in 1571. In April 1968 a fire destroyed the entire roof of the church, damaged the vaults and the interior, completely burned down the top of the Baroque tower and reduced three-quarters of the monastery to ruins. The restoration works have taken a long time. |

Everard 't Serclaes. If you touch him, you'll be happy. Therefore he stoked it. Everard t'Serclaes (c. 1320-31 March 1388), a citizen of Brussels, was made famous by his recovery of that city from the Flemish. Everard was later made alderman of the city five times. He was assassinated for having defended the city's rights against the lord of Gaasbeek. Everard is commemorated by a monument in the 20th century. |

聖ミカエルに捧げた礼拝堂がTreurenberg丘に9世紀の初め頃建てられたと思われます。11世紀にはロマネスク様式の教会に建て替えられました。13世紀にはブラバン公アンリ１世が2つの塔を教会に加えるよう指示しました。教会完成におよそ300年がかかっています。1519年のカール5世の統治開始直前に完成しました。
"St. Michael and St. Gudula Cathedral"
A chapel dedicated to St. Michael was probably built on the Treurenberg hill as early as the 9th century. In the 11th century it was replaced by a Romanesque church. In the thirteenth century, Henry I, Duke of Brabant ordered two round towers to be added to the church. It took about 300 years to complete the entire church. It was completed just before the reign of the emperor Charles V commenced in 1519. |

We thought it's time to say "good luck", but the train was 7 minutes delay (It became 8 minutes later). It was suitable for Belgium. After that our flight was also delay with coming and going.
