 イースター休暇を利用してフィレンツェへ行ってきました。ブリュッセルから一時間半のフライトで到着。早速「サンタ・マリア・デル・フィオーレ大聖堂」へ。建設は1296年に始まり、構造的には1436年にドーム共に完成しました。
Taking advantage of the Easter vacation, we visited Florence. We arrived by a one hour and half flight from Brussels. Firstly we went to "The Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore". The construction began in 1296 in the Gothic style and was completed structurally in 1436 with the dome. |

 到着。教会は今も存在するカルメル会修道院の一部として1268年に建設が始まりました。16から17世紀にバロック様式に修復されました。1771年に火事で損害を受け1782年に内部をロココ様式にして再建されました。「カルミネ教会」内にある「ブランカッチ礼拝堂」は入場制限があり、指定された時間まで待たなければなりません。教会前の広場で入場を待ちました。

Renovated in the Baroque style in the 16th-17th centuries, it was damaged by a fire in 1771 and rebuilt internally in the Rococo style in 1782.  「ジュゼッペ・ポッジ広場」にある「サン・ニッコロ門」に到着。ここからアルノ川沿いを歩きます。塔はかつてフィレツェの旧防壁の門の一部でした。1324年に建設されました。壁は19世紀に都市再開発計画の一部として取り壊されました。
We arrived at "Tower of San Niccolo" located in "piazza Giuseppe Poggi". We were walking along the Arno river. The tower was once part of a gate or porta in the former defensive walls of Florence. The portal was first erected in 1324. The walls were destroyed in the 19th century as a project of urban renewal. |

 図書館を見ながら「アッレ・クライツェ橋」を目指します。図書館は1747年に一般公開されました。残念なことに1966年のアルモ川の大洪水によって3分の1近い収容物が被害を受けました。
While we were heading for "Ponte Alle Grazie", we saw the library. The library was opened to the public in 1747. Unfortunately, a major flood of the Arno River in 1966 damaged nearly one-third of the library's holdings. |

 こちらも大行列。「フィレンツェカード」のおかげでセキュリティチェックに10分ほど並んだだけで入れました。美術館は16世紀以降、リクエストにより公開されていましたが、1765年、公式に一般公開されました。
There was a very long queue for an admission here as well. thanks to "Florence card", we waited for only 10 minutes of the security check to enter there. The gallery had been open to visitors by request since the sixteenth century, and in 1765 it was officially opened to the public. |

 外も大混雑だけど、中もすごいよ。前に来たときはこんなに混んでいたイメージないんだけど…ウフィッツィ複合群の建物は1560年にフィレンツェ行政庁のオフィス群として建設が始まりました。そのため「ウフィッツィ＝オフィス」の名が付いています。
The inside was crowded almost as same as the outside. I didn't have the image that the museum had been crowded when we had been here before. The building of Uffizi complex was begun in 1560 so as to accommodate the offices of the Florentine magistrates, hence the name uffizi, "offices". |

 美術館の中から中庭を。チケットを買う人の列は回廊の端から端まで。チケットを買って入場待ちの列は中庭いっぱいに。2時間ぐらいはかかりそうだね。
The view of the courtyard from the gallery. People formed a line to buy a ticket from one end to another of the corridor. And people who was waiting for the admission after buying a ticket formed a line all over the courtyard. I guessed it took 2 hours to enter approximately. |

 もちろんここも長蛇の列。係員が道にでて美術館へ向かう人を呼び止め、「今からだと一時間半以上待つよ」と伝えていました。フィレンツェカードのおかげでここも待ち時間なしで入場。美術館は1784年に設立されました。
Of course, there was a long queue as well. A gallery attendants stopped people who headed for the gallery on the street and informed that "You will have to wait for 1 and half hours when you get in line now." Thanks to "Florence Card", we could enter there without waiting. The gallery was founded in 1784. |

 美術館最大の見どころはもちろんミケランジェロの「ダビデ像」。やっと本物に会えました。美術館には1873年からオリジナルの「ダビデ像」が置かれています。

後ろ姿も。像は通説では保存のために美術館に運ばれたことになっていますが、前に置かれていたシニョリーア広場からの移動には他の要因もありました。元々の趣旨は彼の生誕400周年を記念して彼のオリジナルの彫刻や絵を集めた「ミケランジェロ美術館」を設立することでした。今日、美術館はミケランジェロの小さなコレクションを所有しています。

An apperance from behind. The sculpture was allegedly brought to the Accademia for reasons of conservation, although other factors were involved in its move from its previous outdoor location on Piazza della Signoria. The original intention was to create a "Michelangelo museum", with original sculptures and drawings, to celebrate the fourth centenary of the artist's birth. Today, the gallery's small collection of Michelangelo's work. |

It was originally the oldest children's orphanage in Europe. It was designed by Filippo Brunelleschi who did the dome of the Florence Cathedral. The building was constructed in several phases and the first phase was 1419-1427. |

 中庭。きっと子どもたちと乳母たちが遊んだのだろうなぁと思います。すてきな美術館なのに見学者が少ない、穴場の美術館です。昔は両親が姿を見られることなく赤ん坊を建物に運ぶ水平方向に回転する特殊ドアがありました。このシステムは養育院が閉鎖される1875年まで続きました。
The courtyard. I believe children plyed with nurses here definitely. Though the museum is wonderful, it is a little-known spot with a few visitors. There was a door with a special rotating horizontal wheel that brought the baby into the building without the parent being seen. This system was in operation until the hospital's closure in 1875. |

 「孤児養育院美術館」の見学を終えて出てきました。「孤児養育院美術館」のアーチの間には産着を着た赤ん坊の円形陶板がつけられています。フェルディナンド1世・デ・メディチの騎馬像は1608年に製作され、ここに設置されました。
We came here after the visit of "Ospedale degli Innocenti". There are ceramic tondi which features a baby in swaddling clothes between arches of "Ospedale degli Innocenti". The equestrian statue of Ferdinand I of Tuscany was made and placed there in 1608. |

 美術館の前にたまたまあったから…と立ち寄った教会。豪華ー。バロック式の装飾は1644年に始まりました。1628年製のオルガンはフィレンツェで最も古くイタリアで2番目に古いものです。
We stopped by the church because it was in front of the museum by chance. Very gorgeous. The Baroque decoration of the church interior was begun in 1644. The organ (1628) is the oldest in Florence and the second oldest in Italy. |

 ここのシンボル「幸運の子豚」。猪の噴水銅像に対するフィレンツェ地方のニックネームです。元々像は1634年にヘレニズム時代の大理石像のイタリアでのコピー大理石像を基に造形、鋳造されました。現在の像は1998年に鋳造されたコピーで更に2008年に置き換えられています。鼻をなでるとフィレンツェの戻ってこられると言われていて、その言い伝えは既に1766年に英国の旅行作家が記していまして、その結果猪の体は緑青がふいて緑茶色ですが、鼻先は磨かれて輝いた状態になっています。
The market's symbol, "Il Porcellino". It is the local Florentine nickname for the bronze fountain of a boar. Originally the fountain figure was sculpted and cast in around 1634, following a marble Italian copy of a Hellenistic marble original. The present statue is a modern copy, cast in 1998 and replaced in 2008. People rub the boar's snout to ensure a return to Florence, a tradition that the English literary traveller already noted in 1766, which has kept the snout in a state of polished sheen while the rest of the boar's body has patinated to a dull brownish-green. |

 ここに来たらこれ！なのだそうです。１キロの肉の塊。二人でシェアして食べました。ワインはテーブルに１本置かれていて、飲んだ分だけ支払うシステム。どれだけ飲んだか決めるのは店員さんの目分量。まあ、１本１０ユーロのワインですけどね。
We must eat a "bistecca" (Beef steak in Italian) when we come here. 1kg block of beef. We devided it by two and ate it. A bottle of wine is on the table and we pay the price for how much we drink. A waiter decide how much we drank in a measurement by eye. A bottle of wine is merely 10 euros. |
