とても大きいので公園から全景を。午前中は逆光にならずにきれいな写真が撮れます。ここはご存知のとおりカタロニアの建築家アントニ・ガウディの未完作品で、アルハンブラ宮殿やマドリッドのプラド美術館を抜いてスペインで最も観光客を集めるモニュメントです。

中は2010年に完成し、11月7日に教皇ベネディクト16世が訪れ、ミサを執り行い聖堂に聖水を注いで聖別。サグラダ・ファミリアはバシリカとなりました。
パシリカとはローマ教皇の発行した教皇小書簡により、一般の教会堂より上位にあることを認められた教会堂のことです。

見慣れた感じの教会とはやはりひと味もふた味もちがった聖堂です。ここは贖罪教会なので、作業の財政は喜捨に頼っています。そのために別々の箇所を同時に建設することはできなかったのですが、1990年代以降は訪問者の流れと作品の世評の高まりが財政状況を好転させました。

That's why the separate points couldn't be built at the same time. However the increase in visitor and a surge of the reputation to a work let a financial status improve for the better from 1990s onward. |

地下にはガウディのお墓もあります。教会は1882年3月19日に着工されましたが意見の対立から翌年に初代設計者のビリャールは辞任。その後を引き継いで2代目建築家に任命されたのが、当時は未だ無名だったアントニ・ガウディです。以降、ガウディは設計を一から練り直し1926年に亡くなるまでライフワークとして取り組みました。

There is a grave of Gaudi in the underground. Though The church was started to work on 10th of March, 1882, Villar who was the first designer resigned next year because of opposition of the opinion. The second designer who took over being in charge for him was Antoni Gaudi who wasn't yet famous in those days. 森をイメージして作られた聖堂内。ガウディは仔細な設計図を残しておらず、大型模型や紐と錘を用いた実験道具を使って、構造を検討したとされています。スペイン内戦でそれらの模型は破片となり、ガウディの構想に基づき弟子たちが作成した資料なども大部分が消失しました。ガウディの死後、もはや忠実にガウディの構想通りとはならないこの建築物の建造を続けるべきかという議論がありましたが、職人による伝承や大まかな外観のデッサンなど残されたわずかな資料を元に、時代毎の建築家がガウディの設計構想を推測するといった形で現在も建設が行われています。

It's a sacutuary which was made in the image of a forest. Gaudi didn't leave detailed plans and considered the structure using the big model and experiment tools which was made of ropes and chain. These models became the fragments in Spanish civil war and documents which disciple made based on the idea of Gaudi was gone. After Gaudi's death, the argument happened that the construction of this building, which does not become as a design of Gaudi faithfully anymore, should be continued. However architect of each ara guess the design philosophy of Gaudi based on oral tradition of craftmen and a few documents which were left like sketches of the rough appearance and construction is carried out by that way now. |

曲線を多用する螺旋階段。未だイエスの栄光を表すメインファサード、18本建てられる内の10本の塔が未完成です。これらの塔の12本が12使徒、4本が福音記者、1本が聖母マリア、1本がイエス・キリストを象徴するものとされています。ガウディの没後100年にあたる2026年に完成予定と発表されています。

It's a spiral staircase using many curves. The main facade which represents the glory of Jesus, 10 towers of 18 towers which will be built are unfinished. It is said 12 towers represent the Twelve Apostles, 4 towers do the evangelists, 1 tower does the Virgin Mary and 1 tower does Jesus Christ. It is announced that it is going to be completed after death of Gaudi in 2026 equal to 100 years. |

塔に上ってみました。ここはエレベーターで上がれて助かります。有料だけど。生前のガウディが実現できたのは地下聖堂とこの生誕のファサードなどですが、これらは2005年にユネスコの世界遺産に登録されました。

We went up the tower. We were very glad because we could use a lift. But it was not free. What Gaudi could come out during his lifelime is the sanctuary of the underground, Nativity Facade and so on. They were registered as the UNESCO world heritage in 2005. |

バルセロナ市内が一望できます。2006年、直下に高速鉄道AVEのトンネルを掘削する計画が持ち上がり、一連のやり取りの中で、サグラダファミリア建設が行政に届け出を出していない工事であることが明らかになりました。つまり、サグラダファミリアは違法建築だったのですが、結局はバルセロナ市がサグラダファミリアの建築を超法規的に認めた上で、徹底した地盤強化対策を行って掘削工事が行われました。

とても聖堂の飾りとは思えないポップな感じの塔の先端。なにしろ建設開始から長い年月が経っているため、建築と並行して修復も行われています。今回も塔の先端が修復中でした。

西側の受難のファサードには、イエスの最後の晩餐からキリストの磔刑、キリストの昇天までの有名な場面が彫刻されています。東側とは全く異なり、現代彫刻でイエスの受難が表現されており、左下の最後の晩餐から右上のイエスの埋葬まで「S」の字を逆になぞるように彫刻が配置されています。

この東側の生誕のファサードでは、キリストの誕生から初めての説教を行うまでの逸話が彫刻によって表現されています。3つの門によって構成され、左門が父ヨセフ、中央門がイエス、右門が母マリアを象徴、中央の門を構成する柱の土台には変わらないものの象徴として亀が彫刻され、また、門の両脇には変化するものの象徴としてカメレオンがいます。

It is dedicated to the birth of Jesus, it is decorated with scenes reminiscent of elements of life. It consists of 3 gates. The left gate symbolizes father Joseph, the center does Jesus and the right does the Virgin Mary. At the base of each lies a turtle or a tortoise (one to represent the land and the other the sea; each are symbols of time as something set in stone and unchangeable). In contrast to the figures of turtles and their symbolism, two chameleons can be found at either side of the façade, and are symbolic of change. |

1877年に建設された建物です。大繊維業者ジュゼップ・バッリョ・イ・カザノバスの依頼を受け、1904年から1906年にかけて、ガウディはこの邸宅の改築を行いました。

ともかく曲線で作られたこのおうち。テーマは「海」という説もあります。他にも、カタルーニャの守護聖人であるサン・ジョルディの竜退治の伝説をなぞっているという解釈や様々な色の破砕タイルのモザイク（トランカディス）が祭りの紙吹雪を表しているとする謝肉祭説もあります。

中の吹き抜け。屋上からの光が各部屋に入るように工夫されています。上に行くほどタイルの青が濃くなっていて均一な青に見えるように工夫されているのだとか。窓の大きさは上に行くほど小さく、部屋に入る光の量を調節しているのだそうです。

中世バルセロナが城壁で囲まれていた時代この場所は近郊へ向かう門の外側に位置した何もない場所だったそうです。市場には理想的で、住民の生活の中心となっていました。

 「カタルーニャ広場」にあるデパート「イル・コルテ・イングレス」でちょっとお買い物。緑のコーラを買ってみました。味はいたってふつー。甘味料が自然素材らしいです。この広場は1892年には1929年のバルセロナ万国博覧会に向けて開発が始まりましたが、その間地下鉄工事も行われ、完成したのは1927年でした。
We shopped at "El Corte Ingles" of the department store faced "Placa de Catalunya". I bought a green coca cola. Taste was very normal. I heard a sweetener was natural materials. The development of this square began for Barcelona World Exposition of 1929 in 1892, but meantime the construction of the subway also carried out. After all it was finished in 1927. |

 バルセロナの物ではなくセビーリャのサンタ・パウラ修道院で修道女たちが手作りしているトマトのジャムを買いました。なかなか売っていなくて探していました。やっぱりデパートだわー
Though it's not the product of Barcelona, I bought a handmade tomato jam which nuns of Convento de Santa Paula in Sevilla made. It was hard to find this jam and I was looking all the time. After all we should go to the department store. |

The owner, Eusebi Guell was picked by a member of Barcelona member of a city council in 1875 and became a member of state parliament in 1878. After that, he became a Senator of Spain. He contacted a friendship with Antoni Gaudi and became the greatest supporter throughout the life, therefore names of two of them were known internationally. |

中央にあるホールの高い天井。多目的に使えるように様々な工夫がされていました。例えば壁に見える扉を開けると礼拝堂になり、ちゃんとパイプオルガンも設えられていました。また、オーケストラやコーラス隊が入る部屋などもかんがえられていました。すごいね～

The main party room in the center of the building has a high ceiling. It was a fully worked-out room to be usable in a multi-purpose. For example, when doors of the wall were opened, this room became a chapel and the pipe organ was also provided properly. Besides the room which a orchestra or a choir got in were prepared. We feel admiration for them. |

見学終了です～。ここの家賃は建設当時1500ペセタと一般職人の月給の約10倍であったためと見た目の評判の悪さから、なかなか借り手が見つかりませんでした。そのため「3世代に渡って値上げなし」という契約条件ができその後ほとんど値上げされていないため、現在でも家賃は約15万円となっています。広さは約300㎡で全8室あり、現在でも居住している人がいます。

Lessees of this apartment weren't found easily because the rent was 15,000 pesetas and about 10 times of the salary of the general craftsman at the time of construction and the reputation of the appearance was bad. Therefore terms of the contract that "there will be no raise in for three generations" were added and the rent is hardly raised. As a result, the rent is about 150,000 yen even now. The area ia about 300m2 and there are 8 rooms in the building. There are residents now. |

880年、羊飼いの少年達がモンセラットの岩山にきらめく不思議な光を見つけたどって行った洞窟の中でマリア像を見つけた……という伝説の不思議な黒いマリア像が町の大聖堂の中にあります。ローマ時代に作られたと言われる木製のマリア像。当初は黒ではなく、白いマリア様だったそう。誰が、いつ、何のために黒く塗り替えたのか詳細はなにもわかっていません。

"Bunuelos de Bacalao" Fried pickpocket body of the cod. It's very popular in the Catalonia district. Just fried ones were very nice.
"Chopitos fritos" Fried firefly squid. We couldn't stop eating because it was very nice. it is a restaurant's recommendation, as it would expected.

これはモニュメント階段です。この公園は1984年にユネスコの世界遺産に登録された、アントニ・ガウディの作品群の1つです。かなり坂道を登ってこないとたどり着かない歩いて来るには厳しい公園です。（実は違う道にエスカレーターがあることを後で知った！）

元々はここが住居を作る予定の土地でした。それから園芸場に変わり、70年代に花壇が作られ庭へ姿を変えました。オーストリア由来の木が寄贈されたため現在の名前がつけられました。

ガウディらふたりの進みすぎた発想と自然の中で暮らす価値観は当時理解されませんでした。広場、道路などのインフラが作られ60軒が計画されていたが、買い手がつかず、結局売れたのは2軒で買い手はガウディ本人とグエル伯爵だけであったといわれています。

 お土産にスペインのスパークリングワイン、カバを買いました。ガウディ、満喫しました。
今回もブラッセルエアで往復。行きは20分、帰りは30分遅れ。時間通りに飛ぶときに乗ってみたいです。20分遅れぐらいだとよかったーと思うようになりました。
We bought a cava which is a sparkling wine of Spain for a souvenior. We enjoyed Gaudi fully.
We went and returned by Brussels Airline this time, too. Going was 20 minutes delay and returning was 30 minutes delay. I would like to use it when they fly on time. We came to think that it was good if delay was about 20 minutes. |
