 「ナミュール」
週末古城ホテルで過ごそうと出かけました。途中、「ナミュール」という街にたちよりました。ムーズ川と「シタデル（城砦）」。元々はローマ時代のもので何度も再建されています。現在の姿は1692年の包囲の後、設計されました。

We went out to stay the castle hotel on weekend. We atopped at "Namur" on the way. The Meuse and the Citadel of Namur. It is originally from the Roman era, but has been rebuilt several times. Its current form was designed after the siege of 1692. |

「ナミュール」の「シタデル」から見た町並み。ちょっとお天気が悪くて残念。オリジナルのシタデルは937年のものです。現在の広さにはオランダ統治時代の1631年から75年の間に到達しました。18世紀には補助的な部分が建てられました。1891年には軍事的な要塞としては廃棄され、砲撃から街を防御すると計算されたナミュールを守る円形要塞にとって代わられました。

Namur from the Citadel of Namur above the city. We were sorry that weather is slightly bad. The original citadel dates to 937. It achieved its present extent between 1631 and 1675, when the city was under Dutch control. A variety of subsidiary positions were built in the 18th century. It was disestablished as a military post in 1891, superseded by a new ring of forts around Namur that were calculated to prevent the city from being attacked with artillery. |

地元のお菓子屋さん「ドゥ・ユコルヌ・フロンヴィル」。18世紀の地元有名人にちなんだバターとチョコレートの入ったキャラメル「ビエトルメ・ドゥ・ナミュール」が名物。「ナミュールに来たらビエルトルメを買わずに離れてはならない」のだそう。
"Namur"
It's "De Hucorne-Fronville" of a local sweets shop. "Les Bietrume de Namur", which is a caramel with butter and the chocolate associated with a local celebrity of the 18th century, is famous product. I heard if you come to Namur, you must not leave the town without buying Bietrume. |

「聖オーバン大聖堂」
ベルギー唯一の後期ゴシック様式の大聖堂です。1751年から67年に建てられました。以前にこの場所にあった13世紀のロマネスク教会の塔は生き残り、教会の西側に位置しています。

It is the only cathedral in Belgium in academic Late Baroque style. It was built during 1751 and 1767. A tower of the former Romanesque church dated from the 13th century that stood on the site has survived and is located at the west end of the church. |

さらにビールの醸造所へ立ち寄りました。地ビール「ラ・ゴロワーズ」「ブランシュ・ド・ナミュール」などを醸造しています。1858年に創立したベルギーの家族醸造所です。

 ジビエの季節だからね。鹿肉のロースト。柔らかくて美味しい。ちょっと癖があるけど、それがいい味だね。
It was a roast venison because it was the season of wild game. It was soft and nice. It had a pronounced taste, but that was nice. |
